Savingshaving.com is a new website that I created in the Summer of 2020. My name is DavidM and my goal is simply to offer information about the world of safety razors. In fact, the information found here is exactly what I was looking for as I learned more about wet shaving. How did I get so far into my shaving life without ever knowing about safety razors? I was a disposable razor guy because that was all I really knew.
Never too late to learn.
Never too late to change.
I will keep this site growing as I continue to gather helpful information for you. And I will later give more specific suggestions for items that I know work well.
I also want to offer a place for comments and to discuss topics. New blog posts will address a variety of interesting topics. They will be mostly shaving and grooming topics, but it could be anything else that might be fun or useful.
If the blog posts generate a fairly large number of responses, I will install a bulletin board that will make discussions easier and more efficient. This may be necessary since the wet shaving bunch can be excitingly vocal and wonderfully opinionated. There is no sarcasm here – I have never learned more than reading a discussion between two clearly knowledgeable people.
So look around and find something you did not know. The history of the safety razor was especially fun to put together. Or read about the strained relationship between the big players in the razor world.
